Red Sea Liveaboard TripLiveaboard Trip: Red Sea Sharks & Rays 2019

4 – 14 June 2019

$5499 (including all meals on board, ex ADL price)

Join us on our Red Sea liveaboard trip aboard the Emperor Asmaa in 2019! We will be diving the world famous southerly reefs of the Red Sea: St John’s, Daedalus, Elphinstone and the Brothers Islands (where chances are highest to see the elusive oceanic white tip shark)!

We’ve made sure to plan this in the best marine life month of the year, so we’ll be smack bang in the middle of schooling hammerhead, whaleshark and manta ray season.

Above all, the Red Sea is renowned for its healthy reefs, which remain stable and healthy at a time when other major reef systems are suffering from the effects of climate change and marine pollution. In total, the reefs of the Red Sea support more than 220 different species of hard and soft coral. Together, these corals provide the basis of an ecosystem that offers both food and shelter to more than 1,100 species of fish, almost a fifth of which are found nowhere else on Earth!

We’ve got 17 dives included in this package and they’re all day dives. Night dives are not allowed in the marine parks.

The best thing about liveaboard diving is that you get started with your diving pretty much immediately after waking up! When the land based resorts are serving breakfast, we’ll already be in the water for the first dive getting the best possible view of the sharks! You jump out of bed for a quick light snack and wake up with the sharks of the Red Sea before having a big breakfast back on board after the first dive! On the liveaboard we are able to venture further out to the southern reefs to experience some of the best diving the Red Sea has to offer!

This is a BIG animals trip with a focus on large sharks and dolphins. The boat is going to move a lot to get us to the best spots (where the action is happening) and we’re right in the middle of hammerhead season, so fingers crossed for schooling hammerheads!

Besides the sharks, expect big rays, dolphins and big pelagics. Whatever we’re going to see, most of it will be big!!

This is a flexible itinerary, focussing on action dives! The Summer months in Egypt (May – August) are best-known for the variety of sharks visiting some of these remote offshore reefs. Be prepared for constantly changing diving plans as we will go where the action is. Our guides select the best possible action sites to visit based on their immense local knowledge and on insider-data on recent activity including a variety of Red Sea sharks, dolphins and anything else that chooses to join the party!

Nitrox is included in the price and so are all meals and all soft drinks (+ red wine during dinner)! This is an all inclusive liveaboard (apart from beers)!

Get away from Winter and sign up for this all inclusive luxury liveboard trip to the Red Sea. The Emperor Fleet and Dive Adventures have given us an excellent price for this trip: just $5499 (or just an $800 deposit with $100 a week on a payment plan).

Beqa Lagoon Fiji Trip

Bucket List Trip: Bull & Tiger Sharks in Beqa Lagoon (Fiji)

30 August – 6 September 2019

Only $3399 (All meals included, ex ADL price)

The Beqa Lagoon shark dive is the world’s number one shark diving location. You can see up to eight species of sharks in a single dive: blacktip reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, silvertip sharks, tawny nurse sharks, sicklefin lemon sharks and the two largest predators in the tropics: bull and tiger sharks!

We will be staying at Beqa Lagoon Resort (BLR). A beautiful island resort with the most professional diving school in the region. The best thing about BLR is that the resort has it’s own shark dive site, where you are pretty much guaranteed to see tiger sharks. Since July 2015 they have had at least 2 tiger sharks at their dive site on every dive and on their best dive they have seen an impressive 8(!) tiger sharks!!

Besides the amazing experience of diving with the bad boys (and girls), this trip is loaded with value, as we have organised a total of 10 boat dives (2 per day) as well as UNLIMITED shore diving on the house reef at the resort! The house reef has beautiful corals, lots of rays and an elusive seahorse on it and slopes to a maximum depth of 25 metres, so it’s perfect for day and night diving! And did we mention all meals are included in this trip (so you will just be paying for your drinks!).

Because of the beautiful tropical climate of Fiji, the waters are nice and warm and form the ideal stage to explore the ocean all day long! The reefs in Beqa Lagoon are teaming with marine life and corals, all waiting to be explored! We will be going right in the middle of dry season (their dry season is from June – September). Water temperatures around this time of year are about 26-27 degrees, so we recommend a 3mm steamer for this trip.

Get away from Winter and sign up for next year’s Fiji trip with us. Since July there is a Fiji Airways direct flight from Adelaide to Nadi (in Fiji), so no stops along the way! Dive Adventures have made us another awesome deal at just $3399 (or just a $800 deposit with a weekly payment plan)! Beqa Lagoon is extremely popular and the most popular weeks (the Winter months here in Australia) are already booking out now.

To book, simply send us an email and we will send you an online booking link. At the time of booking a deposit of $800 is required to secure your spot.

Inclusions:
– Return Airfares ex. Adelaide with Fiji Airways
(if wanting to travel from a different location, please contact us)
– All transfers

Truk Lagoon Liveaboard Trip with Diving AdelaideLuxury Liveaboard Trip: WWII Wrecks (Truk Lagoon)

27 April – 5 May 2019 (Fully Booked)

Only $4999 (including all meals, ex BNE price)

In 2019 we will be boarding the Truk Master 5* luxury liveaboard for a wreck diving adventure of a lifetime in Truk Lagoon!

Truk Lagoon (also known as Chuuk) is an atoll and a sheltered lagoon in Micronesia and was considered the most formidable of all Japanese strongholds in the Pacific in WWII. Five airstrips, seaplane bases, a torpedo boat station, submarine repair shops, a communications center and a radar station were constructed during the war. Protecting these various facilities were coastal defense guns and mortar emplacements. Due to its heavy fortifications, both natural and manmade, the base at Truk was known to Allied forces as “the Gibralter of the Pacific”.

In 1944, Truk’s capacity as a naval base was destroyed through naval air attack. Some have described Truk as Japan’s equivalent of the Americans’ Pearl Harbor. Operation Hailstone lasted for three days, as American carrier-based planes sank twelve Japanese warships and thirty-two merchant ships, while destroying 275 aircraft. The consequences of the attack made Truk lagoon “the biggest graveyard of ships in the world“.

Imagine yourself diving these ships in warm waters in a sheltered lagoon with minimal currents and crystal clear waters. Truk Lagoon is the number one wreck diving location in the world and wreck divers keep coming back year after year to dive more of the wrecks here. Today the coral encrusted wrecks have attracted prolific marine life, which have transformed the wrecks into artifical reefs and beautiful coral gardens on which you can even see turtles, sharks and manta rays. Nowhere else in the world are there so many wrecks in close proximity, situated in shallow clear water. Many of the wrecks are visible while snorkelling and there are many on-shore wartime locations to visit.

Dive iconic dive sites, such as the San Francisco Maru, the I-169 Submarine, the Betty Bomber, the Fujikawa Maru and many many more (download a PDF with some of the wrecks).

We are staying on board the Truk Master, which can cater for all your technical diving needs. We will be doing up to 4 dives a day and all meals are included whilst on board the ship, as well as all drinks except alcohol.

Truk Lagoon has a tropical climate and very warm waters. The water temperature is approximately 29 degrees. As we will be penetrating many of the wrecks, we recommend a 3mm steamer wetsuit for this trip to keep you warm and protected from the rusty wrecks. Dive Adventures has made us another beautiful deal for this one, just $4999 or just $50 a week for 2 years on a payment plan.

To book, simply send us an email and we will send you an online booking link. At the time of booking a deposit of $900 is required to secure your spot.

Inclusions:
– Return Airfares ex. Brisbane with Air Niugini
(if wanting to travel from a different location, please contact us)
