Join us in Palau in 2018 - Palau Siren Luxury Liveaboard Trip

Luxury Liveaboard Trip: Palau 2018 – Sharks, Rays & Wrecks

5 – 15 July 2018

$5999 (All Inclusive)

Join us on our luxury liveaboard trip aboard the Palau Siren in 2018! Palau is world famous for the best drift diving in the world as well as the WWII wrecks from operation Desecrate One, in which 36 Japanese ships were sunk!

The best thing about liveaboard diving in Palau is that you get started with your diving pretty much immediately after waking up! When the land based resorts are serving breakfast, we’ll already be in the water for the first dive getting the best possible view of the feeding stations of the sharks and the rays! You jump out of bed for a quick light snack and wake up with the sharks and rays of Palau before having a big breakfast back on board after the first dive! On the liveaboard we are also able to venture further out to the furthest corners of the archipelago to experience some of the best diving Palau has to offer!

On some dives we will hook ourselves onto the reef with the use of reef hooks and just sit back while we see the incredible marine life cruise past. Palau is a typical ‘big fish’ destination with lots and lots of sharks on most dives! Black tip, white tip, silver tip, grey reef, oceanic white tip, leopard, bull and hammerhead sharks and many more species can be expected as well as Palau’s abundant population of manta rays, eagle rays and many other ray species! As Palau was the first country in the world to announce a shark sanctuary (in 2009), most species can be found her in abundance!

Besides the sharks and rays, expect dolphins and big schools of pelagics, such as trevally, snapper, big eyed tuna, black marlin and with many other large species visiting Palau, you never know what to expect. Whatever you’re going to see, most of it will be big!!

We’ll visit all of Palau’s world famous dive sites, such as the Ngemelis Drop Off (the world’s best wall dive), Blue Corner, Blue Hole and German Channel as well as world famous WWII wrecks such as the Iro with its open engine room, “Jake” (a Japenese navy seaplane) and the Amatzu Maru – the largest wreck in Micronesia.

Nitrox is included in the price and so are all meals and all soft drinks/beers! This is an all inclusive trip!

Diving Adelaide Whalesharks Thresher Sharks Philippines June 2017 Trip

Bucket List Trip: Thresher Sharks & Whalesharks (Philippines)

18 – 27 June 2017

Only $3426

Diving with whalesharks is at the top of every diver’s bucket list, so what can top that? Diving with whalesharks AND thresher sharks in one trip of course!! Malapascua Island in the Philippines is one of the most popular diving destinations in the world, as this is the only place where you are virtually guaranteed to see thresher sharks! Add to that the guarantee of seeing the whalesharks in Oslob and you’ve got the bucketlist trip of a lifetime!

Besides the amazing experiences of diving with the gentle giants of the sea (whalesharks grow to well over 10 metres) and an encounter with one of the rarest sharks to be seen by scuba divers, this trip is loaded with value as we have organised 3 boat dives every single day at Malapascua and UNLIMITED dives during our stay at Moalboal (and the chance to tick mandarin fish off your bucketlist as well)!

You are likely to see lots of sharks, rays, turtles, mandarin fish, clownfish, ghost pipefish, frogfish, heaps of different nudibranchs (the Philippines are very well known for their incredible diversity in nudibranch species), mantis shrimp, pygmy seahorses, orangutang crab, moray eels, octopuses and many of the usual suspects in the tropics! If we are lucky, we may even see manta rays, bamboo sharks and heaps of other cool marine life that can be seen around Malapascua!

Because of the beautiful tropical climate of the Philippines, the waters are nice and warm and form the ideal stage to explore the ocean all day long! The reefs surrounding Malapascua and Moalboal are amongst the best in the Philippines and are teaming with marine life and corals, all waiting to be explored!

Get away from Winter and sign up for next year’s Philippines trip with us. Dive Adventures have made us another awesome deal at just $3426 for a 2-in-1 trip (or just a $700 deposit with $59 a week on a payment plan) if you start this week! Solomon Islands Dive Trip 2017 Diving ASolomon Islands Dive Trip 2017 Diving Adelaide Mundadelaide Munda

Bucket List Trip: WWII Wrecks & Pelagics (Solomon Islands)

6 – 14 July 2017 (FULLY BOOKED)

Only $2899

The Solomon Islands is one of the most pristine diving locations in the world, with massive drop offs and lots of WWII history both on land as well as on the ocean floor! Every week they find new plane- and shipwrecks from the second world war, so most of these wrecks are untouched!

Imagine yourself diving in an eco system that is so unspoilt, that all the big pelagics (tuna, mackarel, trevally, jacks, etc.) are cruising up and down the walls and reefsharks down below on every dive! In most other popular dive locations, these have been fished out, but because the Solomon Islands only have about 500,000 citizens, it’s like you take a step back into time as everything in the underwater world here is just how it’s supposed to be.

We stay on the island of Munda, from where Belinda of Dive Munda will take us out to some of the most incredible dive spots! There are plenty of WWII airplane wrecks to be explored in the area (some shallow and some deeper ones), lots of reefs and dropoffs and lots of macro life to look at. Take your macro lens for the small stuff and your wide angle for the big stuff, as this will be a trip that has it all!

Your trip leader, Ron, went to the Solomons in June (2016) to have a look at the different dive locations, dive resorts and dive sites and preferred Munda over the others as the dive centre is run properly, the dive guides know what they’re doing and the atmosphere on the boats was by far the best.

The lodge where we’ll be staying at has different style accommodation for every budget. It’s the best accommodation on the island and the food and bar are great as well. The restaurant and lodge are on the waterfront and the dive shop is on the premises with the boats right there on the pier out the front of the resort.

You are likely to see lots of pelagics (sharks, rays, tuna, trevally, mackarel, jacks, etc) as well as macro life and WWII wrecks. You have a reasonable chance of seeing hammerhead sharks, manta rays or other big animals here as well as there are steep drop offs everywhere, so you never know what to expect!

The Solomon Islands have a tropical climate and have very warm waters. We have booked in for 2 dives a day, with the option to book in for a third (please see details below). We’ve planned this trip right after the end of the financial year and smack bang in the middle of Winter, so there isn’t a better time to get away! We’ve got another great deal from Dive Adventures, making this trip just $2899(!) or just $69 per week or so if you sign up for the payment plan!

To book, simply send us an email and we will send you an online booking link. At the time of booking a deposit of $700 is required to secure your spot.
