About us

Diving Adelaide is one of Australia’s leading dive operations, with a busy training centre, retail store and a fast-moving online business that supports thousands of divers nationwide. We work hard, move quickly, and keep standards high — but we do it in a genuinely fun industry, with a team culture we’re proud of (we call it “the bibe”).

Customer Service & Sales Support

Full Time (38 hours) | Adelaide | Diving Adelaide | Dive retail + training + national e-commerce

The role at a glance

We’re looking for a Customer Service & Sales Support team member to help divers across Australia with gear enquiries, orders, and product advice through our online store. This is a professional, desk-based role that sits at the centre of our retail operation — supporting customers, solving problems, and keeping systems running smoothly.

You don’t need to be a diver (although it’s a plus). If you have the right attitude, we’ll teach you the products and the industry.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Responding to customer enquiries by email (and occasionally phone) promptly and professionally
  • Providing clear product guidance and recommendations (training provided)
  • Following up orders, tracking shipments, and resolving delivery issues
  • Preparing quotes for individuals, schools and corporate clients
  • Supporting online store operations (accuracy, processes, systems)
  • Managing warranty claims and liaising with suppliers
  • General admin support and problem-solving to keep the customer experience smooth

What we’re looking for (must-haves)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong digital literacy (email, spreadsheets, online systems)
  • Proactive approach with a positive “big smile” attitude
  • Genuine desire to help customers, solve issues, and go the extra mile
  • Able to work full-time (Tuesday–Saturday preferred)

Sought-after / valuable extras (nice-to-haves)

These are not required, but they’re valuable and may shape the role around your strengths:

  • Sales experience
  • Admin / front office experience
  • Business and/or Economics qualification
  • Creative, web, or content skills (writing/design)
  • Marketing or social media content experience

Dive experience

An affinity with the ocean is important. Being a scuba diver is a plus — but not essential. If you want to become a diver, training pathways are part of what we do best.

Practical requirements

  • This role is based in Adelaide and is full-time (38 hours)
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia (Australian/NZ citizen or permanent resident, or an appropriate long-term work visa)
  • We’re ideally looking for someone available for at least 2 years

What you’ll get

  • A stable, year-round role in a growing, high-performing business
  • A supportive team environment with real career development potential
  • Training in dive equipment, systems, and how a major dive operation works
  • A workplace with personality: we work hard, but we enjoy the vibe

Shop Coordinator (Dive Operations & Retail Support)

Full Time (38 hours) | Adelaide | Tuesday–Saturday (required)

Diving Adelaide | Courses, tours, rentals, logistics + customer support

The role at a glance

We’re hiring a Shop Coordinator to help run the operational side of our dive centre. This role is the bridge between customers, instructors, training schedules, and gear logistics — coordinating bookings, rentals, and making sure equipment and vehicles are allocated, packed, and ready to go.

If you’re organised, proactive, calm under pressure, and love the ocean (diver is a plus), you’ll thrive here.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Managing course, tour, and rental gear bookings
  • Coordinating schedules and supporting instructors and training operations
  • Allocating, packing and organising gear for courses and trips
  • Preparing and organising vans/vehicles for training and tours
  • Supporting retail sales and assisting customers in-store when needed
  • Keeping operational systems organised and up to date
  • Handling customer questions and solving problems with a calm, can-do approach

What we’re looking for (must-haves)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • High level organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong digital literacy (email, spreadsheets, online systems)
  • Proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities
  • Able to work full-time (Tuesday–Saturday preferred)
  • Genuine desire to help customers and go the extra mile

Sought-after / valuable extras (nice-to-haves)

Not required, but useful and may shape the role:

  • Front office / bookings / admin experience
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Sales experience
  • Content, web, or creative skills
  • Marketing or social media experience
  • Business and/or Economics qualification
