One of the things we are most proud of at Diving Adelaide is the consistent strength of our instructor team.
The PADI Elite Instructor Award is presented to instructors who certify more than 50 students in a calendar year. It recognises instructors who are not only active and experienced, but who are also making a significant contribution to diver training and development.
Since 2014, Diving Adelaide has produced the most PADI Elite Instructors every single year. That level of consistency is a strong reflection of the quality, scale and professionalism of the training delivered by our team.
To have so many instructors recognised year after year is something few dive centres in the world can say. It reflects the depth of experience within our team and our long-standing commitment to delivering high quality diver training in South Australia.
2024 marked the 10th consecutive year Diving Adelaide received the PADI Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry Award.
Winning this award once is a huge honour. To receive it ten years in a row is something incredibly special, and reflects our long-term commitment to growing diving in South Australia through high quality diver training, professional development, local diving opportunities and ongoing support for the wider dive community.
Over the years, we have worked hard to build more than just a dive centre. We have built a strong local dive community, trained thousands of divers, supported the development of new dive professionals and helped more South Australians experience the underwater world.
Receiving this award for the tenth year running is a reflection of the dedication of our entire team and our ongoing commitment to helping diving continue to grow and thrive in South Australia.
Receiving the PADI Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry Award again in 2023 was a huge honour for our team.
Diving Adelaide has always been passionate about building the diving industry in South Australia in a sustainable way. That means creating confident, capable divers, supporting local diving opportunities, helping people progress into advanced and professional training, and providing the equipment, support and community that keeps divers active long after their first certification.
This award reflects the combined efforts of our instructors, divemasters, retail team and the wider dive community that continues to support us. We are incredibly grateful to play such an important role in growing diving in South Australia.
We have been awarded the Prince of Wales Award in recognition of our support to Australian Defence Force Reservists and in appreciation of our support to Corporal Kym Baldock. Kym has been an integral part of the instructor team at Diving Adelaide and we love having him around. He exceeds the teaching standards on every single course and has been with Diving Adelaide for almost a decade!

This award recognises dive centres that make a meaningful impact on the growth and long-term health of the diving industry. For us, that means much more than simply teaching dive courses. It reflects the work we do to introduce new people to diving, support divers as they continue their journey, help develop future dive professionals and contribute to the broader diving community in South Australia.
Over the years, our goal has always been to help more people not only learn to dive, but to stay involved in the sport for years to come. To be recognised for that contribution by PADI is something we are extremely proud of.
We’re proud to present our latest Tripadvisor Award: The Traveller’s Choice Award for 2021! The leafy sea dragon is endemic to Australia’s southern waters and a highlight for travelling divers visiting Australia. The award is for consistently getting 5 star reviews from international travellers diving with us and leaving us reviews! We love receiving your feedback this way and thank you for coming to see the sea dragons of the Fleurieu Peninsula with us!
We’re extremely proud of our instructor team, as they’re the most experienced dive instructors in the state! For the sixth consecutive year, Diving Adelaide instructors have certified the most students in South Australia and with that kind of experience, you know you’re getting the training you deserve! We now run 2 open water courses every single week of the year, so you can learn to dive or continue your education whenever it suits YOU!
As 2020 was an interesting year, Scubapro ended up combining the Dealer of the Year awards for these two years and we couldn’t be prouder to be the most prominent Scubapro dealer in the southern states and the largest Scubapro dealer in the country! This is the fifth (and sixth) year in a row Diving Adelaide have been awarded with the Dealer of the Year award and after winning the Scubapro “Professionalism and Excellence in Customer Service” award for 2014 and 2015 and this top award in 2016-2019, we’re very proud to have won it again in 2020/2021! Deep down we want the best!
In 2020 Diving Adelaide was invited to join the PADI Advisory Board, where industry leaders discuss the latest and greatest as well as strategies and marketing in the diving industry. We also trained the most divers in South Australia for the sixth year in a row, so 2020 was an amazing year (despite COVID).
For the fourth consecutive year we have been awarded the Scubapro Dealer of the Year award and we absolutely love it! Scubapro has been part of our journey right from the start and has stood by us since Diving Adelaide opened its doors in 2013! It has been an amazing journey so far and we can’t wait to see what’s awaiting us in the new decade! Deep down you want the best!
We’re incredibly proud of our pro dive team for winning the PADI award for the dive centre that certified the most students in South Australia for the fifth consecutive year! All Diving Adelaide instructors love teaching the next generation of divers and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have them on board! You know you’re in good hands when you’re training with the most experienced dive instructors! This is the fourth year in a row that the Diving Adelaide instructors have certified the most students in South Australia. We have always believed in quality over quantity though and we’re proud to show we’ve got the experience to give you the quality you deserve.
We are committed to the conservation of underwater habitats and believe in environmentally responsible business practices. From simple things like bringing our own reusable coffee cups to our (excellent!) coffee shop down the road, to organising underwater clean ups!
This PADI award is awarded to the state’s largest dive centre in terms of continuing education certifications (advanced, specialty and professional diver courses). We prefer to invest in our divers by offering a full range of PADI courses from beginners levels all the way up to dive professional levels and are very happy to have received this award for our continuous efforts
