The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) course is designed in a way that you can do it at the same time as the PADI instructor course, or you can do it as a standalone course to upgrade your rating to the next level! The PADI MSDT will set you apart from other instructors in the industry, as besides the main PADI courses you can teach as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), you will now be able to teach PADI specialty courses as well!
Being able to teach specialty courses not only makes the job as an instructor even more fun and adventurous, it also makes you a more valuable part of the team of any dive operation! As a PADI MSDT you will be able to teach your students throughout their entire scuba diving journey from open water diver all the way to Divemaster, including all the courses and specialties in between!
At Diving Adelaide, our course director teaches the Master Scuba Diver Trainer prep course in conjunction with every Instructor Development Course (IDC). The course is optional, but highly recommended. The program will be run in between the PADI IDC and the Instructor Examination (IE), making the course even more fun, and offering you the opportunity to gain additional experience as an instructor candidate before the exam.
Once you have completed the PADI MSDT Prep course and passed your PADI IE, you will be certified as an Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) first. As an OWSI with MSDT Prep under your belt, you can start teaching PADI specialties and main courses right away though and will gain the PADI MSDT certification after you have certified your first 25 students.
To be certified as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, you will have to:

The PADI MSDT Prep Course includes the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox and PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty Instructor Courses + 3 other specialty courses.
Optional: Add any additional Specialty Instructor Courses for just $199 per course (+ boat fees if applicable).
