Are you just like us in that a dive can never be long enough? No decompression limits seem to always limit your dives and you just want that extra bit of time to photograph that nudibranch or explore that other part of a shipwreck? Then the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) Diver Course is the perfect course for you!
The Diving Adelaide Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty Course will prepare you to safely and confidently dive on enriched air (up to 40%) and will teach you how to take full advantage of the many advantages that diving on Nitrox has to offer!
You will learn important things about diving on enriched gas mixes, such as the facts that mixes with a higher oxygen percentage get toxic at certain depths and that because there is less nitrogen in your mix, your body absorbs less nitrogen and your no decompression limits increase! Scary terms like CNS Convulsion and PPO2 will be explained, so you will get a good understanding of how to make longer dives or dive safer on enriched air!
We run the course regularly, so you can simply check our calendar for the next upcoming course and book in for the course today!
Alternatively, we’re happy to run this course for your privately during opening hours from Tuesday to Friday! Simply contact us via email or call on (08) 8122 5003 to book in your time slot, so we can make sure there is an instructor available on your preferred date and time for your practical!
During the practical, you will fill out the course paperwork, do a quick review of your PADI eLearning theory with your instructor, analyse 2 cylinders to check the oxygen percentage of the enriched air in the cylinder and plan your dives with use of a dive computer! If you don’t have your own dive computer, one will be provided for use during the course.
Things to bring:
Where some dive schools still choose to teach the theory side of the learn to dive course in a traditional classroom setting, Diving Adelaide has chosen for the faster, cost-effective way of teaching the theory via online training. To us, the advantages of e-learning are clear:
E-learning provides a single experience that accomodates the three disctinct styles of auditory learners, visual learners and kinesthetic learners, allowing for more efficient training.
E-learning is self-paced. Advanced learners are allowed to speed through the theory, while others slow their own progress through content, eliminating frustration with themselves, their fellow learners and the course.
E-learning has on-demand availability, which allows the student to complete the training conveniently at off-hours or from home (as a student you can log on and off to do parts of the theory as many times as you want) and doesn’t require the student to travel to training location.
E-Learning reduces the learning time on average by 40 to 60 percent, which means the overall time that you will be spending on the theory will most likely be only half of the time you would have spent in a classroom setting.
